my prerogative
As a woman, I’m allowed to change my mind.
Fabulous.
I’m thinking about maybe changing my mind. Again.
I am really frustrated with WordPress. I know. I’ve only been here 10 months. But the free version doesn’t allow much room to play and I’ve tried out every single template. Every one.
So I snapped up my blog over at Blogger. If only it would allow me to import my posts/comments all would be perfect. As it is, I keep getting an error message that hasn’t been resolved in the Google help forum. Any ideas, blog people? Anybody have any experience switching from WordPress to Blogger? I could always just retype them all. But that just seems ridiculous.
Right now I don’t really know what I’m going to do…stay here and just sit on that, blog there and leave these archives up…use them both for something? Decisions Decisions.
I’m sure you’ll all follow me wherever I go, yes? {that’s a rhetorical question…you have no choice, you know you’re hooked!}
Anyway, whatever I decide to do you’ll all be apprised and told where to go to find the good stuff. Promise.
If you want to go say hi to my new digs, you can head here to check it out!
I’m kind of in love with the colors. My bedding is bluish turquoise and brown too! And that’s a very close approximation of my handwriting. I got all fancy and imported it into blogger and made my header. What do you think?
{comments directed toward my annoying propensity for moving my blog all over the place and not being able to commit to things will be duly ignored
}

And this is why I left WP in the spring. I too like to tweak and all that jazz
Of course I am not a fan of blogger so I did end up switching to typepad…honestly I don’t mind paying 8 bucks a month for something that is consistent and very easy to use! Plus it has great support.
I say if you like blogger go with it. I mean it being your prerogative and all! And you can always tweak and all that fun (plus you can embed in all the others and have flash…WP does not allow that either….annoying.)
LOVE the colors of the blogger blog by the way!
Thanks friend, love you!
blogger looks great! really like the colours and fonts and stuff. I think about moving back to blogger too because i get so bored with WordPress. So thanks! You’ve just accelerated my itchyness to change. Again!
You could just buy hosting and use the full version of WP? If you self-host, you can change WHATEVER you want.
yeah…I’m just not sure I’m willing to PAY to blog…
Ooh, it looks great! I’m following that blog too just in case you decide to switch over there.
I like your new digs
I switched back to blogger too…I loved WP at first, and then I started to hate it pretty quickly after that. I had no problems importing my WP posts to blogger…I think I googled “wp to blogger” and downloaded a converter and all of my posts were transferred over perfectly!
I did the same thing, but this week apparently there are “server problems” lol…figures the week I try to change! Oh well, patience is a virtue, right? they’ll fix it eventually….
I was just thinking of switching over to WP, myself. I thought that WP had more options. (I actually had just started the process of signing up the other evening and had to cancel, due to an electrical storm.)
This is good to know. Thanks for the info.
the paid version of wordpress is pretty much limitless. the free version (wordpress.com) isn’t as customizable as I want. It might also be b/c I can edit HTML and you can do that on blogger but not wp. I think it’s an individual taste thing
Ugh, please don’t! I mean, yes, I’ll follow you, but I don’t like Blogger!
Okay, enough of me asserting my will. Whatever you do, do it all at once. That’s why I switched to my own domain when I made the Blogger to WP switch. Like a bandaid, ya know? You will lose people in the move, so if it’s just one, it’s for the best!
I don’t know how alike/different WP.com and WP.org are, but I have no complaints about WP.org!
